Coaching: a tool or a job?
First of all, it is a state of mind. Coaching is an approach, which consists of being unconditionally turned towards the other person in order to guide him or her gently in the clarification and the achievement of his/ her goals.
It is really a matter of change, either personal or collective. Our mission is to lead our customers from one state towards their desired state after having made sure together that no negative impact could result for themselves or on their environment.
In order to create personal or collective awareness, we have to act first and foremost on what is within our ability to change so as to build our success and personal development with an eye to maintaining continuous improvement.
This is, consequently, a very efficient tool that is being increasingly integrated into the fields of management, consultancy, change facilitation and training.
Coaching is also a job in which key factors for success are the following:
• Life coaching and executive coaching are not separate. It is thus essential to integrate a good knowledge of the organizations, their difficulties and their corporate cultures. This segment represents at least 80 % of the potential market. That’s why we put this point at the heart of our training.
• To have benefited from a full and quality training in order to optimize our performance level, professionalism and rigour.
• To define and implement an action plan based on a short, middle and long-term range. To clarify the goal, the intermediary objectives and actions we need to put in place relating to continuous improvement.
• To have respect for the other person.
• To have started an approach of personal development included along our pedagogical path.
